2WD is the standard option for the Honda Pilot and can tow up to 3,500 lbs. That’s sufficient for smaller or lightweight trailers, jet skis, and more. It’s unsafe to try to tow a load that exceeds the towing capacity, but for many drivers, 3,500 lbs is more than enough to tow everything they need.
